The program, which is run by Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, Israel, includes an 18-day seminar that provides teachers with the tools they need to teach the Holocaust in an age appropriate manner; ensuring that the past is remembered and helping to shape a better future. The scholarship includes tuition, travel, and accommodation. It will run between January 1-18, 2017.
Secondary History teachers who have never participated in a Yad Vashem Holocaust Seminar, are embers of an HTA affiliate and are willing to share their project with fellow teachers are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship is provided by the Solomea Gruener Endowment Fund.
Interested members of HTA affiliates can apply through the dedicated Gandel Program link at the Yad Vashem website. Registration closes 9 June 2016.
