NSW, on behalf of HTAA, invites proposals for presentation
or workshop sessions at the 2010 National History
Conference.
NOW
CLOSED
Guidelines
•
Presentation and workshop sessions will generally
run for 45 minutes.
• All rooms will have data projector facilities
and there will be a limited number of computer laboratories
available.
• The conference theme is ‘History,
Teaching History, Teaching History Teachers’.
In part, the intention will be to support the implementation
of national curriculum courses. We will particularly
welcome proposals that address the teaching of history
in primary schools and pre-service preparation for
history teachers at all levels.
• We would also welcome exciting proposals
that address a range of topics and issues, including:
history & teaching history in the digital age,
indigenous history, Asian & Pacific history,
teaching in remote settings, innovative pedagogies,
using museums & site studies, international
perspectives and fresh approaches that support major
topics currently taught in all state & territory
or IB courses.
• With significant interest expected in this
conference, it will not be possible to accept all
proposals. There will be limited opportunity, for
example, for promoting commercial products within
the program. The decision of the Conference Convenor
will be final.
• Submissions are to be made by email or fax
on the Call for Papers Proposal form – see
below.
• Should a proposal be accepted, the information
provided on the proposal form will be used in the
conference program. However, there will be an opportunity
to update this information as soon as the draft
program is produced – please ensure that all
contact details are current.
• For all enquiries, please contact NSW HTA:
(02) 9518 4940.
