Session Options
• Ensure that 1st and 2nd choices are made for each workshop session – you will be notified by email if neither of these choices can be accommodated. Please refer to the website prior to registering – we intend to indicate when sessions are full on the registration form. Note that a number of sessions have been repeated to assist with choice – you will not be allocated to the same session twice.

Session Cancellations
• With so many sessions running, there may be cancellations. HTAA apologises in advance for this possibility. Where feasible, we will notify delegates of any cancelled sessions prior to the conference.

Excursions
• All excursions will involve varying degrees of pleasant city walking and/or use of public transport. Timing will be flexible – excursioners will be asked to assemble early from lunch and may have the option of returning to a conference panel session, remaining at the excursion venue or making their own way home. There will be no additional costs but excursion places will be limited.

Panel Discussions
• On Monday & Wednesday panel led discussions have been scheduled. These are intended as informal, post-program professional discussion opportunities and it is anticipated that not all delegates will attend – the meeting rooms may be either crowded or intimate.
• We have also created the opportunity for delegates to nominate discussion forums on either of these days.
Please email here if you would like to suggest AND chair an additional discussion forum. Up to two additional forums may be scheduled for Monday and Wednesday and announced at the opening of the conference.

Accommodation
• See the accommodation options suggested on the Conference Webpage.

Venue & Transport
• The conference venue is Shore School, Blue Street North Sydney. Registrations will take place at Memorial Hall each morning of the conference from 8.15 am.
• Public transport is the best option for getting to the conference – the conference venue is 200 metres from North Sydney station. There is only limited or expensive opportunity for all-day car parking in the North Sydney CBD.

Conference Dinner
• The Conference Dinner will be held on Tuesday 6 July at 7.00 pm in the SHORE School Dining Hall. All delegates and their partners are welcome.
Please see details on the registration form - prices will be inclusive of a three course meal and all beverages.

Cancellation Policy
• Venue hire and catering commitments mean that cancellations may be only considered under exceptional circumstances, and an administration fee will apply.

NSW Institute of Teachers
• This conference has been registered with the NSW Institute of Teachers to provide 'Institute Registered continuing professional development', to support the maintenance of accreditation at Professional Competence.

History Teachers Association of NSW Inc.

Why Register Early?

1. Early registration greatly assists with our conference organisation.

2. Early registration helps to ensure first choice of workshop & excursion sessions.

3. While we anticipate that the 2010 program will attract significant interest, we intend to avoid overcrowding and may close registrations before the registration deadline rather than stretch capacity.

4. BRIDGECLIMB SYDNEY has sponsored a wonderful incentive.
BridgeClimb

All delegates who register before 7 June 2010 will automatically go in to a draw for one of two bridge climb tickets.
To allow winners to organise their climb, the draw will occur prior to the conference, winners will be notified and the result will be announced at the opening of the conference.
